pie of the season...

For Christmas, I pledged to give only handmade gifts.  For my girlfriends and female family members, that wasn't too hard.  But for the men, it was a whole different story...!

I gave my Uncle the gift of a "Pie of the Season." Four pies, one every three months.  He chose his flavors, the first being cherry.

I had never made a cherry pie before.
I didn't taste this one.
But he did say it was fabulous, the best he's ever had.
My hunch is, because he is a very sweet uncle, is he was flattering me. But I'll take it!  ;)
